I am on doxy 400 mg day and am adding levinquin 250 mg day every other day, m, w, f. Is this safe to be on both of these med's at the same time?
thanks
Diana

I took them together over a 6 week period taking both meds everyday and had no problem. Did have a major herx of upper arm muscles at week 6 so decided to take a break from levaquin then. Was concerned about tendon damage. I did take lots of vitamin C and magnesium each day to help prevent such damage. At the Ilads conference
a LLMD who presented at the conference said I most likely had a herx and not a tendonitis. As I think back on it he was probably right. The levaquin helped a lot with Bartonella/BLO symptoms and the Doxy kept the Lyme/Borrelia in check so it is a rational combination.
