I had it done last week, and I was wondering about the reliability. I can't find much info on the web, but I did find a couple of people giving their opinions.

Both people tested negative for Lyme and coinfections that they were sure they had. But then again, both had been in treatment for a long time.

Has anyone had this test or know anything about its accuracy?

I get the results next wednesday and I don't want my LLMD to say "well, it was negative so you don't have lyme and we're stopping treatment"

Before the test, he and I were 100% positive I have it, in spite of a negative ELISA four years ago.

Help?

I was tested negative for lyme and I am sure it is right.

Let me know what other disease they find - if not lyme - and if the symptoms match with your problems.

They find some people being negative for lyme but then they find other diseases which are causing the problems.
They test a lot of things.

You need both tests, venous blood and fingerprick.

My LLMD uses this lab and finds it very useful. As with any lab, she understand that there are limitations re: accuracy.

She told me that she sometimes finds results she did not expect, and it is helpful in determining a treatment course.

So I think it's a good lab.

Hopefully your LLMD will treat based on your symptoms and clinical history - as well s/he should.

I have used Spiro Stat - my tests were negative. But that was after 4 years of treatment, and I believe it was accurate, that I had no active infection at the moment.
