WILL Babesiosis GO AWAY ON ITS OWN IF IT IS NOT PROPERLY TREATED- TESTED POSITIVE FEW YEARS AGO AND WAS TREATED WITH 2 SEPARATE 6 WEEK CYCLES OF ANTIBIOTICS- DOC FELT IT WAS GOOD, SAID MY INFECTION WAS NOT ACTIVE BASED ON THE TEST RESULTS BUT THAT I HAD IT IN THE PAST.

I don't know if it can truly go away on its own, but some people can have it and be asymptomatic.
My son had very mild symptoms early on (mild night sweating) before we knew he had it. The Babesia symptoms went away fairly quickly and he hasn't had any since. (He does have neuro Lyme symptoms though.)
We treated with a few cycles of artemisinin and one cycle of malarone, just for good measure.

I believe mine may have disappeared for a while over the years - just guessing - but it came back out to play in 2007 and destroyed my life. it's like playing Russian Roulette.

Some people can have just babesia m. and remain asymptomatic for years but lyme compromises your immune system so when you have it as well, your immune system cannot handle it.
In addition, babesia makes lyme stronger. Most LLMDs believe you need to tackle the babesia first, before your treatment for lyme will be successful.
Babesia duncani is much more resistant and harder to get rid of so if you have that it is going to take over sooner or later.
Much better plan to attack it now when it is not so powerful than to wait until later. Much less expensive too as Mepron and zithro are the first choice of drugs and Mepron costs a fortune.

thank u all for the replies! currently i am falling apart! past few weeks i have been experiencing throat pain, neck pain, along with swollen neck glands- dont remember if i had this before seing as i have had lyme for over 10 yrs now, currently i am not on any meds- go back to llmd in 2 weeks-
