everytime i'm feeling like 99% i always seem to get a cold or in the case of a month ago, the flu. and it seems to really set me back. does this happen to anybody else? i swear i was feeling awesome a couple weeks ago and then i came down with something - feeling pretty crappy now.

Colds don't seem to set me back much, but I had a terrible stomach bug a few months ago that lasted a full week--so no food and no abx either.

I feel like I've gone backwards since then and haven't been able to get back to where I was.

I really don't know what i have. It's been 3 weeks and my cough and mucus won't go away. I am certain that it is lyme causing this cough and chest congestion because its neurological related. I feel sick in head and it alternates between cough, mucus and neuro symptoms. I had violent cough for a week in which i thought i was going to rip my lungs apart. I even lost sleep for that whole week. Then took penicillin for a week helped a bit. Now switched to my lyme med biaxin and amox 500mg each and its still not going away. Its better but its stalking me!

May God Bless you, answer your prayers, relieve you of your pain and make you stronger than what you are today. Ameen.

@ S.--
C. pneumonia is not uncommon in tick-borne illnesses. Some folks think it's passed via the tick itself, others think that our lowered immunity allows it to come out. (a macrolide, like Zith or Biaxin PLUS Flagyl is a pretty typical treatment. check out cpn.org for more info.)
