I don't think so. The lyme bacteria cells morph into a cyst shaped cell to trick the abx and immune system. The bio-film is, for the most part, a protective barrier that encapsulates the bacteria, whether its in the spirochete form or cyst form. The biofilm can protect other infections like mycoplasma also. This makes it difficult or near impossible for the antibiotics to attack the infection its holding inside. you must do a bio-film breaker protocol to bust them open and treat the infection it holds inside.

Hope this is helpful. I'm sure there are others here on lymenet that know much more about it.

Blessings to you!

Correct.. biofilm is the thick barrier around the bacteria.

Think of biofilm with MRSA infection too.... that is another infection/bacteria that the biofilm is thick and antibiotics have a hard time killing it.

Lyme, Babs, Fry Bug..... Whatever it is, may a treatment be discovered to make us all whole again!

The BIOFILM is what holds communities of bacteria together , whereas each individual spirochete can roll itself into a ball and create the CYST form when under threat.

According to a video I've seen on Brian Rosner's site, it can do this in just 90 seconds.

I think there is widespread confusion about these terms and many of us use them interchangeably, which may lead to mistaken treatment choices.

Also, if you have heavy metals in your body (like mercury, lead, etc) you must do a HM detox through chelation therapy, because the spirochetes use metals (along with fibrin and other materials) to create the biofilms.

To break up the biofilm, my llmd used Interface Plus, Candicid Forte, and Serripeptidase. I used to combo every other month while on antibiotics.
