Burning spine pain that started in my low back was my first symptom. I was told over and over lyme doesn't cause back pain but for me I think its the nerves in my spine are inflamed from an infection. I imagine either infection could cause this but I am also interested in what infections others think it could be.

I get lower back pain when my Interstitial Cystitis is acting up. This is where the organs in my pelvic area become swollen and sore (bladder, ovaries). I think this is a symptom of one of these, but couldn't tell you which as I'm not that far along in the process. Just thought I would mention it.

I have terrible back pain at present, so bad I can hardly walk. It started after increasing my A-L complex dose and adding in Takuna. My LLMD thinks it is a big herx in my back.On previous examinations she noticed I was sore in my lower back area when she pressed down and commented I probably had a lot of infection in the joints there.

miapiaface, I don't know why someone would say lyme doesn't cause back pain. Lyme loves joints, and where are there more joints than in your spine? Sometimes hip/pelvic pain can be felt as lower back pain, as well, and since the hips are considered a "large joint", they are the perfect place for Bb to hang out.
Just my two cents =)

I get bad back and spine too. I think it is related to lyme for me.
I recently read an article about lyme and back pain and how it related to SI joint problems. I'll see if I can find it.
