Hi everyone: Like clockwork every month for the last several months I get a massive headache behind my eyes (and I had encephalopathy when I first got Lyme) - almost like a sinus one with my eyes getting dry and I am miserable. Is this a Lyme herx? Do they make your eyes dry too? I am trying to sort out symptoms as we are going after Babas again, Bart and Lyme. Thank you...

Sounds like it could be given that it is every 4 weeks. I have a pattern to my H/A as well....every 7 days in the past but now every 13-15 days. I'm told this is may be babs b/c of the cycle.
My H/A are similar in nature....feel kinda like sinus headaches.

I have a problem telling the difference between a herx and the natural cycle of the babs, lyme, and other co infections. I have been cycling with a rise of symptoms and pain, etc every 4 weeks.I understand your headache, willbeatthis--I have similar headaches with my babs. But how can one know the difference or is there one? I agree with philly78, it is amazing how much pain one can hold inside without letting anyone know.

Lyme and/or coinfections gave me dry eye and dry mouth and other dry mucous membranes also. I had to doctor for these conditions.
Junky lyme treatment did not get rid of this problem, but good lyme treatment got rid of it totally.
So, that proves that lyme or a coinfection can cause dry eye. Quite a few others on this board over the years have also reported getting dry eye and dry mouth from tick-borne diseases.
I think it is from lyme.

Thank you all for your help with this. Trying to sort out symptoms honestly is baffling.
The best I have felt in quite sometime was when I was on Coartem and Augmentin. So it is definite the Babs is at play again and I suspect the bart too...
Thank you all again... you are an invaluable resource.
