I have been receiving allergy shots for the last 2 years for seasonal allergies grass, trees, ragweed and a few others...BUT
I am getting MONTHLY injections for grasses, Dust mites and MOLD! I tested very HIGH on MOLD sensitivity!
I have been treating Lyme orally for the past 2 years and have made great progress....Lyme for me now is just the annoyances of the flares every few weeks! uggggh...but still treating!
was wondering...if my MOLD allergy injections could be hindering my Lyme treatment? is there any connection??
would love to hear from you Mold experts!!lol

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that those of us that have the genotype that can't detox mold shouldn't get shots for mold allergy. That being said, I've done them in the past and reacted badly to the shots and they always seemed very surprised/puzzled. I recently found out I have the genotype that can't detox mold so I guess it makes sense now. Now keep in mind, I'm not positive about what I just told you and can't quote any specific literature but think I read that somewhere but of course my memory isn't that reliable.

I also tested positive for the genotype that cannot detox well AND when I had allergy shots a few years ago (during major lyme time) I got sooo sick for days on end.
I am highly allergic to mold - it is high outside, inside my body and may still have some in my house...talk about mold overload..
My allergist looked at me like I was from Mars when I told her the shots made me sick. She assured me it was just a coincidence..yeah right..WRONG!
While I do have very bad allergies, I stick to allergy meds as opposed to the shots cuz they just make me sicker...
