This lab does the ERMI (a vacuum test) for 1/2 the price of mycometrics: http://www.emsl.com
Many molds are not naturally airborne... if they are wet, they are sticky until disturbed. Air tests are not always reliable... in our case they showed a large amount of mold, but I think it is better to do the ERMI which shows a history of what has been in the air... that way you have an idea what you are dealing with.
We also bought a moisture meter. Shows moisture in the walls. Good for finding hidden leaks. Mold needs water to grow. (also food and air)

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began. Posts: 2007 | From NY/VT Border | Registered: Aug 2010

When you feel just horrible, you have mold. If there is another person in your house feeling tired, this is more proof.
If someone leaves your house - more proof.
If friends are not visiting often, they are not feeling well in your home.
