Hello:

Will the emotional and phychological symptoms retard if and when we get the bacteria and toxins out of the brain or will those continue to require additional treatment efforts. In other words is the damage most likely temporary due to the presence of the bacteria or more permanent and needing to be fixed independantly?

Thanks in advance

Phil

I don't know the answer, but am anxious to hear what others have experienced. We just got my husband's lyme test back this week - positive, just like mine and the 3 kids. Our oldest child has severe psychological issues. I'm praying this goes away with lyme treatment. We're still waiting for that to happen, but we only started treating in July.

Anyone here have psych problems resolve with lyme treatment?

I think your brain can recover.

Several years ago when I was ramping up on the Buhner protocol, I started on Resveratrol.
Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant, and it also reduces glutamine in the brain, from what I recall.

I don't know if it was from increased bloodflow to my brain or what, but suddenly the brainfog lifted and I could THINK.
Oh my, I had forgotten that I used to be able to think like that.

I had to stop taking Resveratrol as I had kidney pain, and I was afraid of harming my kidneys.
But now I have hope that someday I can get my brain working again.

I too have several family members with severe emotional and phychological problems after having had lyme for such a long time. I am praying that they will be resolved when the bacterial are eradicated.

If anyone has experience or know the likely answer, I'd really appreciate hearing from you

Thanks

Phil
