Hi, I am currently on IV rocephin, and switched from the balloon thing to a drip bag. On the bag it says to infuse over the period of an hour. I was under the impression that you infuse at the rate of one gram per 30 minutes. Does anyone know anything about this? I know I cannot post my exact dose, but if it is one gram per 3030 minutes, then one hour is definitely not long enough. I know I need to call the pharmacy, but I forgot to do that today, so I figured I would ask here. Thanks

Whatever the recommended time I ALWAYS double it. So if it said to drip in one hour... I will take two... then I S L O W L Y decrease the drip rate over time.

I think you can tell if you're dripping too fast... for me I get dizzy and very nauseous so I know to slow it way down. But I'm sensitive though. Good luck!

Thanks scorpiogirl, I just did it in a little over one and a half hours, and I felt fine the whole time. Maybe I will try to decrease the time a little tomorrow and see how I feel. Thanks again
