I have given theanine to my mother to help with nervousness/anxiety......I open the capsule and give her half of the powder in the capsule..... it really helps her to feel calm.....she takes the powder at dinnertime in water.
I think taking the theanine at dinnertime may also help her fall asleep by 10:00 pm.

I have it but GABA works extremely well for me.
Maybe i should take both of them to help me sleep but I heard Theanine does not make you sleepy - just calm. I heard the Buddhist monks used to use it to help them meditate.
