Hi, My husband has been recently diagnosed with Lyme. We are just beginning this crazy journey and now he has been hit with a gout attack. He used to get an attack about once or twice a year and it would be resolved in a day or two with lots of cherry juice. It has been a week with no relief. Cherry juice, lemon water, apple cider vinegar, celery seed extract, and baking soda are some of the remedies we have been trying with little improvement. Are Lyme and gout connected? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I got rid of my gout when I treated for parasites/worms and often overlooked co-infection of Lyme even by LLMDs.
I would try an antiparasitic cleanse such as Parastroy (vitacost)and see if he gets relief. Also google parasite symptoms and do a search on here.

One of the methyl cycle mutations is linked to gout. I can't remember which one but you can find it in this link. He gives recommendations for supplementation and treatments.
A friend of mine drinks alkaline water and says it helps her gout.
