diatomacious (spelling?) earth. You sprinkle it around the house. I have no personal experience with it, but I have heard that it works.
I have seen it at Tractor Supply and some feed mills.
But you must treat your pets too. For a minimum of 3 months, but ideally 6 months...and with a good product. Comfortis is best, but a good topical recommended by your vet would work too.

I use Bugrepel mix of essential oils. It didn't cost much, it smells like natural perfume, it never caused anyone though any allergy.
I just put drops here and there and the bugs hate it. I don't know if the lady still sells it, google to find. I boughtt it years ago, it is still useful!
