Who takes this? I take it with cefdiner and zithro...what's the purpose of this drug with lyme?

Only one study by the Brorson's ever showed it as a cost buster. Most LLMDs use it to increase the effects of macrolides like Biaxin and Azithromycin. Dr D. had discussed extensively his success with Plaquenil added to Clarithromycin...thought to alter ph and increase cell penetration. That is why you are on it most likely.
It caused a partial Achilles tear for me just walking. Apparently that is a rare side effect but had been documented by some docs.

Thanks everyone. Migs, I was walking last night and felt a soreness in the tendon in my foot. I hope it's not from plaquenil.
