I have been having pain in my quads I guess, the entire back of my thigh. I also get terrible pain in the soles of my feet that lasts all day.
It flares with my menstrual cycle and the pain just gets awful. In fact my menstrual cycle makes my whole body hurt, joints and muscles that normally aren't very noticeable. And my fatigue that had been much better, gets really bad also.
So, while this sounds like babesia, could it be lyme too? Just wondering why it would flare each month.

I'd like to know too, the difference w Babs and Lyme with such symptoms.

The pain in the back of your thighs actually sounds like maybe ehrlichia or anaplasma to me. There is a case study online somewhere that talks about this. Will look for the link.
The sore feet of course usually is from bart.
You might try epsom salts baths (for the magnesium) or extra potassium or extra calcium -- it could just be muscle spasms from mineral imbalances.
I really do not think that babs is the coinfection causing your symptoms.

Thanks Bea. I will look into ehrlichia or anaplasma. The sore feet issue comes and goes and it lasts for days vs. just in the morning.
I will have to increase my detox baths.

I have pain in my thighs and foot pain during the day- it's babs
Dr AC said pain during the day is babs, and that babs also attacks the large muscles - quads, butt etc

Beths- does your pain get worse that time of the month? Do you have full body muscle pain as a Babs symptom?

I don't think anyone knows what symptoms are exactly what. I certainly flare around my period.

I have to admit, I have (had) strong pain in the thighs and knees and I believe it is Babesia since it developed while I was taking abx and other babs symptoms developed parallel.

Well folks. I thought I just had lyme disease until a couple of days ago when I got on this site. Now there is a plethora of possible diseases I could be infected with. Aaarrrrgggg!!!!
I have been managing lyme for about 23 years and function fairly well.
When I had a period monthly the symptoms got much worse at those times. Now I am in menopause I have hot flashes to beat the band all day and night. I don't know which is worse.
I don't know anything about all these other diseases but I have been taking evening primrose oil twice a day for several years and it helps with the hot flashes and sweats.

I like to admit I often have a vibration sensation in the outer sides of my thighs, feels like a cell phone vibration but lighter. Dunno if it is related to lyme or babs.

Jamers, the pain in my thighs is absolutely horrible and yes I have full body pain, just like fibro everywhere hurts my body is a mess.
The thigh pain started about 8 months into my treatment, I also don't know exactly what infection causes this.
It also gets worse with herxes, I am positive for bart, lyme, rmsf, etc. and clinical babesia. I thought it was babesia but my shortness of breath and hot spells are a little better.
I was supposed to start iv magnesium but apparently it's on back order at my pharmacy.

I have both bart, babs and ehrlichia. I know how you feel.
Can you soak in a warm tub with epsom salts and baking soda? It helps me when I am ready to cry from the pain. Soak as long as you can and don't make the water too hot. Sometimes that can make you feel worse.

Well , if you would have asked me last month I would probably said- its' Babesia thats causing it. But today I say otherwise.
Babesia went dormant last month and so is Borrelia and Bartonella for a long time. However, the large muscles pain got worse all of a sudden few weeks ago, as well as profusing night time sweats started last week, which I never had before. I was very surprised and even shocked since I was positive that it was Babesia, end since it tested gone, I didnt understand. Well, then I realised that a new player came in to the surface. Treating Lyme is all about peeling the layers that are priorities at the time.
As usual, when one infection diminishes another comes to the surface. ERLICHIA and heavy metals toxicity started to test as a priority to me. Its been 5 years that I have been sick, 3.5 years in treatment and I never even suspected that Ive had Erlichia.
I test energetically and can tell what is causing the symptoms, but without energetic tests I say it is impossible to say, which infections are causing these symptoms. Symptoms are the same for all neurotoxins.
