Hi! For the last 60 days or so I have been waking up with a swollen face and hands.

I am detoxing, drinking lemon water and am only on a few natural supplements at this time. I also noticed the glands in my neck are larger than normal but not painful at this time.

I have also been having pain in my neck and base of skull with pressure and headaches.

What could be causing this? Ignorant question I guess but I am the type of person who needs to understand why things happen. I even thought water retention but have no other areas of my body affected.

I thought lymph nodes as it seems they are tender also, even under my arms. I do two detoxes that include lymphs. Yesterday I had a lymphatic drainage massage along with deep tissue in my neck and shoulders. It relieved some of the pressure feeling but not all. I am taking a prescription anti inflamitory and a muscle relaxer, but it seems nothing is touching this.

Has anyone experienced this? Or anyone have any thoughts of what to do or what may be the cause?

You are doing all the right things, as it seems like a lymph back-up to me.

Where are you in treatment? Are you starting or ending, since you are only on supplements? I felt this way at the very beginning of treatment, before starting antibiotics.

Bailey, funny, that is my last name. [Smile] . I was diagnosed a yr ago with Fl1953 and Lyme. Unfortunately my doc only had me do low dose doxy. After a while I just got sicker. Due to work and other obligations I couldnt be more aggressive until now.

I am on medical leave from work and just getting ready to start my protocol. So tomorrow I start taking Malerone and Art. I also have welchol and then my naturals.

I am sorry you felt this way too. How are you now? How long have you treated and how is your progress? I hope you are making headway. Thanks for responding I truly appreciate it. As you know this is very overwhelming and isolating.

Being reminded that we are not alone at times is priceless. Hugs!

One of my first symptoms was one swollen hand when I woke up. It was really strange, my fingers were like sausages. I also woke up one morning and the white of my eye was swollen. It looked scary, like the iris was pushed in. Don't know what it is, but, they haven't happened since that year 12 yrs ago. Now, I'm treating bart, and the hand thing has been happening again, to a lesser degree.

Lyme, bart, Fl1953 positive.

If you mobilize toxins, such as with lymphatic massage, and are not able to push the toxins through liver and kidneys, swelling and pain happens.

Please pay attention to parasites and toxic metals.

Take care.
