Today woke up with my vision looking like someone is turning a light dimmer switch up and down during distance viewing. Eyes slightly red. Looks like a small white spot in each pupil (but may be a reflection) which Internet says can be from toxocara canis.
Took serrapeptase, waited a bit, then 4 activated charcoal.
Anyone had this in eyes?

Interesting - was ivermectin the only anti parasitic you took at that time? Did you suspect the side effects might be from a parasite, like dog roundworm?
I've stopped it but am curious if it is a side effect or the effect of a parasite or its death, or of the immune system's response to its death.

I have not taken any prescription parasite meds yet but...when I was taking Paragone herbals I woke up at night one time and I couldn't see out of one eye! It was like there was a dimmer on one eye.
Before lyme treatment I had really bad flashing and white spots especially when I closed my eyes at night. It went away but now I can tell its coming back some. sorry I couldn't be more help.

When I take a lot of ivermectin I had a visual hallucination in the morning, like smoke rising before my eyes. It went away in a short time.
Ivermectin can affect your vision when it is hitting a parasite in them, but I think it can also have side effects that affect your eyes. It can make my eyes very blood shot so I have to be careful how I take it. It is such an effective drug that I use it in spite of the side effects and just limit my dose.

Ivermectin is slow to clear the liver and can build up . I had brief moments of blurry vision when I took it every day . It works much better to take it every other day and I have zero side effects.I think you get just as good results and you can take it a long time without worry.

Vision cleared in 24-48 hours. It was just 1 day Ivermectin and not much - it just happened to be paired with the praziquantel I had. There was a lot of brain fog, lack of appetite, fatigue during that time. Finally about 36 hours after the meds, those improved and some unexpected results showed up. I was expecting more of the handful of flukes I had seen previously. Instead, something that looked like ascaris? 2-4 inch segments, mostly just skin. At least that's the only type I could think of, since tapeworm is supposed to make shorter segments when it breaks off.

Other less serious side effects may be more likely to occur, such as: �nausea, diarrhea; �dizziness; �swelling of your hands, ankles, or feet; �swelling or tenderness of your lymph nodes; �itching or skin rash; or �feeling that something is in your eye(s).
BOth vision probs and seizures are listed on the manufacture's insert. Funny, my vet refuses to believe that heartworm medicine triggers seizures in my dog -- but he only seizes after I give it to him. Ivermectin is serious stuff.

Cottonbrain, there are some dog breeds that can't handle ivermectin. It's genetic. Google "ivermectin dog MDR1" - add "blindness death" or "collies" if you don't get good hits. Tree

Hello. I didn't read everyone's replies....
From what I understand, this is not an uncommon reaction. I had it also when I was on VERY high doses. It goes away when you stop treatment.
We've lowered my dose on subsequent rounds (but it's still a high dose) and I haven't had any issues.
From what I understand, it is not problematic long-term so I haven't worried about it.
It's a great med. I'm about to go on it again.
