Hi Everyone,

Stephen Buhner is speaking very highly of Cordyceps, so I'm pounding them down. I really think it helps.

How much are you taking and what brand?

I'm bringing this back up to see if anyone is taking Cordyceps.

I have started taking it again. I really like this herb.

Anyone else on this and what brand do you like the best?

Thanks

I get mine in tincture form from Woodland Essence. I mix it with a tiny bit of pomegranate juice. I have about 1/2 tsp twice a day. You are supposed to take 1/4-1/2 tsp 3 x day, but I am taking cholestyramine, which makes it really hard to take anything 3 x day!

It is supposed to help modulate your immune system. For me, it hasn't made me better, but I do notice that I am perspiring more normally now and my hands and feet are no longer cold. This has been a very subtle change over time.

It is not a miracle cure. Hopefully, it is doing more for me than I realize.

It is in Buhner's latest book about Mycoplasma. So it definitely kills stuff, but it's known more for getting the immune system working.

This is his wording - "The U.S. tepid dosages of 500 mgs to 1000 mgs a day are useless for any active disease condition. I repeat: useless!!"

"Suggested dose for tonic use is 6,000 mgs. If you want to use capsules for mycoplasma, double that" Active infection for tincture is 1/2 to 1 tsp. 3 to 6 X a day.

All I know is I feel better when I take large doses of this stuff. It's one of the few supplements where I notice a difference. I do not notice any side effects.

Buhner refers to it as "a medicinal food, not a raw drug to be taken in minute doses"

Haley, have you been taking as much as he recommends? The amount I take is the minimum of what he suggests.

It is expensive to do this with everything else I am taking. Do you think it is worth the expense?

I took 1st Chinese. I saw no difference. I'm glad someone is reaping the benefits of Buhner's advice.

dbpei - It's really too soon to say. I have not done it consistently, but plan to go up to 12,000 mgs after I get my shipment from 1st chinese herbs which will be about another week.

I'm also juicing ginger straight up every couple of hours. This was in Buhner's book herbal antibiotics.

Will post in a few weeks.
