Has anyone ever tried this? Any luck?

How long did it take you to heal your leaky gut?

Thanks for any info!

I was told by my doctor to take it.

I took it for a few days and didn't feel good about it.

Looking at the ingredients, it has sugar and glutamate.

Not sure those should be given to a Lyme patient (who also has clinically confirmed candida).

I feel a little neglected by my LLMD for prescribing it. It is rather expensive and now I have a huge container of it just sitting here.

I agree with VV--it was very tasty (I used the chocolate mint flavor), but only used one tub of it. Too much sugar for those with candida..and they want you to take it daily! I didn't do well with it, it did nothing for leaky gut.

I was also quite annoyed that it was pushed on me over and over even when I tried it and told him it didn't help AND aggravated candida, which he knows I have a lot of!! Truthfully, I think he just wanted me to buy more of it, as it's pretty pricey!

VV, I think we may be taking about the same doc. I no longer go to him at this point though.

Thank you for your replies.

I am concerned about the amount of sugar it has.

Has anyone tried the Thorne brand?

I felt it did help me. I was very skeptical but it helped so I stayed on it for several months until we decided that I was able to move off of it.

My LLMD recommended it for me at the beginning of treatment for immune and GI support. I had many problems with both areas and the supplement seemed made for people like me.

It also helped balance my blood sugars in the mornings. I followed my doctors hypoglycemia diet instructions and still ended up with low blood sugar drops. No matter what I ate I wasn't able to control it. The I5 helped to balance my blood sugar when mixed with milk or water to keep me from getting sick mid morning before my snack.

I used just the plain chocolate flavor and it did not have enough sugars to flare candida for me. I took the I5 with food and my morning meds.

My doctor didn't push the supplement. He did encourage me to try it because he thought it would help and it did. I was happy that it helped so I continued it. If it didn't help I would have stopped it after a month.

Thank you for your reply sammy.

How many times a day did you take it? Did you take it every day?

Do you know approximately how long it took before you started feeling any results?

Thank you again for the replies!
