Just a heads up about your bladder pain increasing with LDN. Mine did too the first few times I started it. I had frequent urination so bad I was up almost every hour all night. I thought I was having a reaction to the drug.
After stopping and starting it several times and not being able to tolerate even 0.5 mg, I took a test of protomyxzoa. I was positive. I began treatment and one month later I began the LDN again, this time with no problems at all. In fact, I felt great.
Protomyxzoa causes bladder irritation and pain. It also causes muscle pain, joint pain, nerve pain, jaw pain and tooth pain. If you have this infection, you need to know. Get tested.

Nefferdun what did you use for treatment?
I have tried LDN on several occasions. Every time it resulted in an increase in pain.

It's not uncommon to experience an increase in pain when starting LDN. They say this often occurs when your immune system kicks in and switches over from TH1. I don't remember the technical terms exactly...and that is what I experienced when starting LDN. However my inflammation is much better now and my immune system seems stronger.

Hi Kimmie! How long did it take you to feel better?
I'm 2 weeks into the LDN, my worsening pain has settled. But I'm not sure if it's fully kicked in yet.

I am only on 1.5 mg to start. I am taking it every other night. Different compounding pharmacies use different fillers. Some have had negative effects from various ones.

Ellen I used stromecol or the vet version, Ivermectin, to treat the protomyxzoa. I recently learned there are 6 variants of PR so treatment can vary.
LDN is compounded because it only comes in 50 mg tablets. You need to be sure your pharmacist knows how to compound LDN and does not make it slow release. It is probably best to use one the reliable compounding pharmacies on the LDN site.
If you can't find a doctor to prescribe it for you, you can order the 50mg tablets from Mexico on River Pharmacy and mix it yourself. It is very simple and cheap. I did this for the first year but now I have it compounded.
You cut the pill into quarters so it dissolves. You can buy what you need from K Mart. I got a 10ml syringe and a 1 ml dropper. When I first started LDN I mixed 5 syringes (or 50ml) of bottled water with the LDN. Then one ml dropper would give you 1 mg of naltrexone. Later when I got up to 3 mg, I mixed 3 tablets with 50 ml of water.
