I have been very sick with lyme for over 2 years now. We (Dr. and I) keep trying new things. I THINK I am (maybe) finally starting (just beginning!) to get better now that we have discovered oil of oregano works in a heavy-duty way for me.

I currently can only take 1 drop in the morning, and 1 in the evening, and even that made me hurt tremendously to begin with. When I upped it though, it wasn't just tremendous pain, but I ended up in bed hardly able to move due to dizziness and stroke-like symptoms.

We have been going with the OOO (my Dr. cut out all antibiotics, since they did not seem to be doing anything) She recently added nattokinase. I kept forgetting to take it until recently. I didn't think anything of it, because she said she didn't think I'd feel a thing from taking it. It was just supposed to help everything work better.

Yesterday I got SICKER than sick. It came on all of a sudden, and I went from a 4 on the scale to a 10 in about 15 minutes. I have not gotten better.

It wasn't until I was taking my medicine today that I thought about the new one... I did some research, and it seems you can herx on it. My Dr said it helps break down the biofilm surrounding things, so that the medicine can work better. Is it possible that it worked well enough to make me severely sick?

When I herx, it is usually severe, because I have a mthfr problem.

Thanks for any input. I have temporarily stopped taking it, because if it is causing this problem we need to re=introduce it SLOWLY. My body can never handle a sudden sever herx like this. (The first one lasted 2 1/2 months, where I was too sick to even sit, and we were trying everything to stop it.)

Yes, it will make you herx. How many pills or mg did you take?

It will potentiate any med you are currently taking, including the OOO.

Perhaps you also have a candida problem? Those herxes can be really hard and since OOO will hit it.... maybe that is part of the problem?

I was thinking the same thing about candida. Those herxes can be pretty brutal....even more intense than Lyme herxes for some people.

Agree with lymetoo and jwick.

Also biofilm buster + bartonella can be hell.

Buhner goes into detail about not disturbing biofilms if one is heavily infected with bart.

I have tested negative for all co-infections. (Not that it means I definitely do not have them...) It has been 5 days and I am still SOOOO sick. I have been off the nattikinase since day 1 or 2. [Frown] I need to get better than this quickly... because I keep having episodes that are SO bad I can't even move. It is scary.

I am doing TONS of detox, but I have a mthfr problem, which makes it very difficult to actually detox anything.

Hitting Biofilms equals herxing.
