Will you be climbing mountains there? I would think the elevation of cities would not cause a problem for most lymed people. I have been at those higher elevations without any problem, but I think maddog did encounter issues.

I get altitude sickness both before I had lyme and have it now as well. I live at sea level so when we go skiing I have to spend the night in Denver and then the next day we drive out to the mountains. Denver is around 5500 feet and the base of most resorts in Colorado are 8000. Most people do not experience altitude sickness. My husband has lyme and he has no problem. I would recommend staying overnight in a lower altitude area before heading out to the mountains. Tske Advil to reduce head pressure and drink lots of water.
Relax and do not worry so much, you will be fine!!

I remember reading Dr S's observations about altitude and CFS (Incline Village?)
Anyway, I became very ill with altitude sickness many years ago when I went on a ski trip to CO. I was 10-11K feet up. I had been at altitudes of 4-5K feet prior with no problems.
One of my siblings also got very sick at high altitude in S. America. Makes you wonder if there's familial predisposition.
My husband also experiences bad pressure in his ears on a plane. I don't have that problem at all. Maybe my body just likes being up high.
He also wants to stay a sea level.

Hubs and kiddos all experience ear pain/pressure when flying to the point we've ended up in the ER due to eardrum bursting for one of them! Me, never. Go figure.
