I think Lyme can definitely be misdiagnosed as Lupus.
Many have had "Lupus" symptoms disappear when they were treated for Lyme.

I was diagnosed with Lupus before I found out I'd had Lyme for years prior. Since I didn't have the classic kidney or liver issues common to many with Lupus, the Lyme diagnosis actually makes more sense to me.
And since I started treating Lyme, my ANA titer has gone down to normal.
