The first time I got Lyme was in 2004 and I never saw a rash.
In June of 2012 I was bit again and a blotchy red rash appeared on my back which was itchy and burned.

After the rash calmed down I had streaky scabs all across my back in which the doctor felt was Bartonella.

Over the years especially when on abx this rash will appear again sometimes in streaks and sometimes red papules which are sore and burn. It shows up across my entire upper back.

I definitely have not been re infected because the rash only appears on my back which is exactly where I was bit.

So do you think this is an indication that I am still fighting Bart/Lyme or is it just my body reacting to the abx.

I have been treating again for 2 months and 4 weeks in the rash showed up. I am currently on Zithro and Bactrim DS.

I was thinking about going to a dermatologist and asking if it can be biopsied. My back is a mess from all the scaring....I never scratch it but still leaves all these weird scars....

Thanks TF for the link....very interesting! Luckily I do have pictures of the rash to show the doctor..

Even the exact place where the tick was attached shows up...round red spot.
