I am dealing with water retention issues. The problem started after shifting around some hormones and now I cannot seem to get balanced. Any otc remedies? I have been drinking lemon water and green tea.

I started topical progesterone last year. We're still figuring out my dose/timing. When I'm estrogen dominant, I retain water like crazy. One day on progesterone, and whoosh, it all comes out.

Is your progesterone compounded? I have had horrible issues with water retention in the past with progesterone. I am just on oralestradiol now.

- I cannot speak to the hormone issue (and the detail in the links may show some hormone connection - or not)
Berberine pretty much had me peeing like a race horse that first week - and that was a very good thing as I was very swollen and it brought that down to discern that I was, indeed, human shaped after all. It really helped calm inflammation / water retention. -

Yes. My ND calls in the script to Women's International Pharmacy in Youngstown, AZ. I order refills by phone.
It's a topical cream, 100mg prog/gram. I apply it during the second two weeks of my cycle, though it's been hard to gauge as my cycle has been off. ND thinks a couple more months to regulate my cycle. We just upped my dose.
