My LLMD says I have Babs symptoms even though I have treated for seven years. But I also have adrenal deficiency and hypothyroid (for which I take meds). And I have candidiasis.

So what do you think? Babesia or endocrine and yeast? Here are my symptoms that LLMD says are babesia:

-severe headaches and migraines

-day sweats and night sweats (temperature 97.1-97.4 during sweats)

- waking up with sweats immediately after falling asleep

- mild air hunger

- brainfog / cognitive probs

- extreme fatigue

All my lab results now test negative from Igenex and MDL and Stonybrook.

I suspect that adrenal / thyroid issues may be contributing to:

low body temp (95.4)
fatigue
brainfog
headaches
sweats

Please help if you have any knowledge or experience differentiating these problems, or if you have any good ideas. I hate to keep taking antibiotics and anti-malarials if they are unnecessary.

I also would like to know if you have gone off antibiotics and only treated for adrenals / thyroid / candida?

Your symptoms are definitely not adrenal issues and you take thyroid meds so that is out.

Candida doesn't cause sweats or air hunger either.

Maybe its a parasite but not specifically Babesia? Have you changed up your Babesia treatment in a while? You could switch to a new herb and see if things flare up to get a clear picture.

Not sure if you are male or female/ how old you are, but I was having night sweats this winter and wasn't sure if they were from Babesia or perimenopauseā€¦.

Herbs can be very effective for all infections, maybe make a switch and get candida under control?

Unsure, thanks so much for your input.
I am female! I have had these sweats for 22 years, since I became ill, so that might rule out perimenopause and menopause hot flashes.

And thanks for reminding me that I could have something other than Babesia -- I will be sure to ask my LLMD about covering the parasite bases.

I like your idea about switching to herbals until I get the candida under control. (why didn't I think of that!)

any more opinions, please?

For what its worth I just was diagnosed with Lyme, Bart and Babs a month ago. I have the EXACT! same symptoms but have seemed to have fought off the extreme fatigue in my case with extreme exercise. My LLMD also attributes this to Babs. My LLMD has me on three BX now for the Bart and Lyme and stated I will come back in June to treat Babs. with other meds. With the Babs treatment I remeber her saying that I will have to take a med for 6 months without missing one day. If I do I will have to start the 6 months all over.

Currently I have.

-Low temp.....@97
- waking up with night sweats
- mild air hunger
- brain fog / cognitive problems

Very interesting, goose.

Makes me think I have not cured my infections yet. Good luck with your treatment.
