I swear I have nasal and throat fungus. I am always coughing crap up and my sinuses are always yucky. Not like a bacterial infection.

- Culture phlegm? A doctor would really need to be consulted, it seems as they would know not just the best way but the best labs, etc.
Until time you can see a doctor and have them send this off, I might think to proceed as usual: anything you do for support should be a wide antimicrobial that will address bacteria, viruses and fungi.
Allicin is one such supplement of various ones that helps to cover many bases.
Also, be sure to avoid all dairy. The phlegm that dairy creates for anyone is just a welcoming harbor for all kinds of nefarious agents.
Consider environmental and particulate matters. -

I've seen a fair amount of leukemia patients get fungal infections in their lungs post chemotherapy when their white blood count is down.
To diagnosis pulmonary aspergillosis (fungal infection in lungs) you can biopsy, X-Ray, or get a CT scan. All three are reliable.
To treat: you need to start an anti-fungal medication. For lung fungal infections, we administered 'Amphotericin B' intravenously.
Take care, TheWino

Ty all. Illness is 15 days old. Has continued to get worse after zith, doxy(only 4 th day), iv short term steroid for bronchii inflam, steroid breathing tx in er ,two steroid inhalers
Still have temp, weakness, body aches, non productuve cough, sore chest and back from coughing
In er xray looking for pneumonia was clear...does that rule out fungal infection in lungs
I have been reading kaufman and buhner
Since im sensitive to mold and was exposed twice in last 2-3 weeks i tnink thete is a good chance not taking antifungals is why i am.worse
Also one of themsaid abx makes fungal infection worse
Ih ave biflucan.and a little nystatin but cant find them.yet...too weak and not sure how old they are
Kaufman reccomends them I have unopened lomstium from 2009 but there is no date that it
expires...its an elixer i think in alcohol-buhner said that is goodfor bronchitis but doesnt say fungal or bacterial
I have rife with settings for bronchitis and fungal infects...very leary of that cuz i had horruble reaction once to nizoral
As much as i think the doxy is not helping i am only on day 4 of 10 and hate to stop in the middle or add in antifungal while on it
Doxy dosage is 200mg a day so i could double it(what i usually take) and be done in 3 days. If not a lot better icould move on to antifungal herbs etc
Also braggs and honey was mentioned
I can easily do kaufmans 1st phase diet now. Just need to substitute nuts and apples for toast
I dont want to eat at allbut am forcing self to take meds correctly
Any ideas?
I feel too sick to think clear but everything i read is telling me to stay away from steroids and vaccines er was pushing
Unless i really think i wont be able to breathe ive decided to stay out of hospital. I have phone with me and can see ambulance at fire station from back door
Give me your ideas. I am so exhusted. I still have two more albuterol puffs to take and teaspoon of narcotic cough syrup and what helps the most with cough is hot shower and i think i can do that again
I almost feel if i could just get good sleep i might improve...but if its fungal and im not treating it maybe not
Well let me know. And thaks for your time. Im gonna try for a two hout nap even tho im supposed to eat supper and supps now

As I mentioned, my particular fungus showed up as spots on my chest xray but that meant they wanted me to have the lung biopsy which then said it was histoplasmosis.
I don't know how similar or dissimilar treatment would be for the different types of fungus, but for now, I would think you want to focus on getting the bronchitis under control.
I do hope that you are feeling better today.

I found the right kind of doctor next door to my gyn. My primary wont refer me for political reasons. But my oncologist will. So i will deal with that tomorrow and go back to er so they can see im.worse

- I hope you decided to just take it as directed? You need to continue to hit the bacteria that are there. You can always add an anti-fungal if you can get someone to prescribe it for you.
I hope today is a better day.
