Hi:

My wife had some routine labs run through Labcorp and her 'Western Blot Reflex' test came back positive at 1.99.

However, all her bands in the actual Western Blot serum test came back negative except 41 that's usually always positive.

I'm trying to understand what the 'Western Blot Reflex' test is? It does say EIA so is that the ELISA test? Also trying to determine what the significance of the reflex test is in regard to the actual Western Blot serum test since the bands were all negative.

In other words, does she have active infection? She does not have too many clinical symptoms and I would know having dealt with chronic Lyme myself for over 19 years.

Also, in the notes it does say to be CDC positive you need a positive reflex test and a positive blot test. I do know CDC criteria is more strict than most LLMD's or even Igenex go by. But, again, virtually all her bands were negative.

Any info is appreciated.

Dave
