Long story short is my Babesia and Bart are making a slight comeback after 10 months on meds. My main symptoms are burning in toes returning and middle of the night sweats. My LLMD has me on;
Doxy and Rifampin: Bart
Cefuroxime, Tinidazole:
Azithromycin,Atovaquone: Babesia
My LLMD named a bunch of meds to possibly switch it up. She took me off Atovaquone because I've been on it for 8 months straight with babesia symptoms still hanging on. She gave me some options below.... I told her I wanted to research them before I made a decision. What do you guys think???
Babesia options: Primaquine & Clindamycin (2 pills 4X daily!) or Mefloquine (Lariam) work up to one pill once weekly.
Bart options: Clazithromycin and Bactrim DS Or stick with Doxy an Rifampin
Any thoughts recommendations on what options sound best. Thanks!

Primaquine is the only medication to get the dormant form.
Primaquine and Coartem finally got rid of it for me. Clindamycin like Coartem will get it out of the blood stream.
