I think you can get a FIR sauna tent on EBay for around $200. Doesn't say anything about negative ions, though.
I like the tent - works for me. I put my own little stool in it. I sweat in around a half hour, then shower off warm and cool. Then I take a half teaspoon of Takesumi activated charcoal in water to continue internal detoxing.

I wanted one of these then read they smell of plastic and out gas. Your experience with that?

Thanks, I went on amazon reviews. Looks like the thera sage is a better unit with non-toxic materials.

Using Therasage for ~ 5 years? Wish I'd got the extra heater for the back/insert, but it's OK.
***Do take mineral supplement after (to replace them) I use Swanson's Concentrace. Careful w/ taking charcoal if on Rx (may detox it out).
Didn't notice outgassing. Either way: it detoxes you (chemicals too). Was $600, I think.
Has "tourmaline" disks (for detox) in the walls (I need proof but too sick to care).
Preheat 15 min.s. Cover surfaces w/ clean towels/rags. Easier to clean them vs. the floor/seat/collar.
Using a horizontal dowel rod to prop this "tent" up & open when I'm in. If whole body in, I use earplugs (or I can't use them at nite: soreness; ear "thumps").
Tighten my core (count to 7, repeat). Pray. 20 mins. Don't let bursitis get too hot (ice it).

Brussels - I also feel better when I travel to the tropics. It could be sweating and heat (I have a sauna that I use and love too), or something else like the stronger sunlight and Vitamin D.
(of course, there's no data to support this!)

Hm - the spirochete bugs also don't like heat - maybe their activity quiets down a little too - just guessing -

It's not exactly Bb only that does not like heat.
Enzymes work better when the body is on 36.5-37.0 Celsius.
Without enzymes, nothing works properly (digestion, excretion, immunity, sleep, nerves etc).
If the body could be kept at higher temperatures (a bit lower than fever, that can be damaging if long term), I guess few of us would have debilitating infections.
Higher temperatures make the body work MUCH better, if enzymes are properly working.
I don't remember the exact numbers, but dr. K said that a drop of 1 degree in the body would double the amount of ACTIVE infections, just because of enzymes being slowed down.
I know a 60+ year old man in Belgium who has lyme for many years, tried loads of abx, other treatments... He had almost given up treatments.
Last year, he found a naturopathic doctor who prescribed him basically saunas and some herbs (I don't know details). He said saunas had been the best thing he encountered for relieving his lyme symptoms (arthritic pains, fatigue...).
Now he's back to active life, traveling again, having social meetings (before, like most of us, that was impossible...). For years and years.
He does saunas 2 to 3 times a week, and swims 2-3 x week too.
