This is my first post but I've been reading y'all for months now. Sometimes 3 times a day, searching for answers, other stories. Thank you all...I've learned so much and appreciate your generosity. From BC, Canada. (Note the y'all. I'm originally from Kentucky, where our favorite sport was seening how many tics we could pick off our dogs during the hot summer evenings.

I'm here, we are just about ready to move next week so I don't know if I will be able to keep Smokey as my user name or not. I'll let you know more, when we know more of the details.

Hey IslandGirl! I am glad to hear someone else that had that strange behavior of loving to pick tics. I never did it as a sport, but would sit on my porch for hours pulling tics of my dog. She does not run in the woods anymore, so she rarely has any tics on her. That is good, except now she does not get as much attention from me.
I guess it is the primal instinct to find and hear a "pop". (or is it the obsessive/compulsive behavior?) I love it! Kinda GROSS, I know......tics, fleas, pimples, etc.
