I am going to ask my LLMD about the below and am not sure how she will react.

How many of you are taking the supplements advised by Dr. B. along with your antibiotic therapy?

If you are, are you taking pharmaceutical quality supplements and where do you get them, and are they coverend under your insurance and/or workman's compensation?

How many of you use sauna or warm bath therapy, and/or physical therapy for strength? I know you are not supposed to do aerobics although muscle conditioning is supposed to be good.

I am assumming you would Herx a lot with warm bath therapy. Is this correct? Before I was diagnosed, I was under physical therapy and doing pretty good, until I got into the warm pool at about 110 degrees, about an hour later, could hardly walk, I was so tired. Was this a herx?

Should I ask for a picc line or a ???chest line for IV antibiotics, or shots?

Is this too many questions for one topic?
Loretta

Been taking the stuff right off the sheves at the pharmacy.
Just make sure when taking acidophilis and other supplements not to take them within 2 hours of abx's some bind to abx and make less effective abx kills acidophilis so not much good to take them with abx's.

Lemon,
Take along a good note taker.

Ask for a copy of the typed medical report & ALL blood labs, etc EACH TIME! Have them mail it to you so you can ask more questions in future.

I'm on biaxin 1000/mg a day; 200 mg/day of doxycyline for 1 month. Last month we added 20 mg/day of benicar. I have been having quality days with this stuff.... have herxing but not intolerable.

I gave up all supplements/vitamins and SUNLIGHT full-time!

my llmd recommended minocycline this month, but I declined it....read too much here on boards about all the vomiting & bad effects. As long as I am quality days, I can not seeing going that route. Betty G., Iowa

Im taking some supplements I buy them from vitamin stores or online. so none is covered by insurance.

I take liquid potassium /magnesium and a multivitaim and bcomplex that i get from the vitamin shoppe

either the store or online www.VitaminShoppe.com

I find that there prices are reasonable

the acidolphilous that I get (I have found this one to be the best over the past 4 years.... it was recommended to me by a GI dr.) is called

Culturelle
www.culturelle.com

while on antibotics it is recomended you take 1 twice a day.

the hot water probaly caused a herx.

I dont have acess to a sauna ..i take a warm bath .. not to kill the lyme but to try to help pain.

REally it is up to the llmd what med u will be put on weather it is orals , shots or iv.

I hope i helped u some
Best Wishes
