LLMD office thinks the reason for frequent fevers lately might be a defective port...gotta get it checked tomorrow, I guess.

Anyone ever have a port and have problems?

Thanks!

Hi there, achey!!

Sorry you've got problems with fevers.....sure is good that your LLMD is on top of the situation and getting the port checked.

I have had no problems in almost three years, Knock on wood, although I understand they can be kept for a long time.

Good luck and let us hear, okey dokey?

Healing smiles.....lightfoot

I hope your port is okay (although it's not good to have fevers so I hope you figure out what they're from). I've had a port for over a year and I haven't had any problems so I can't help you there but I do know what it's like to deal with a port! (I love mine! )

Good luck!

I had a central-line port in for 8 mon and did great until one day I got flu like symp (high fever, achiness, stiff neck etc) turn out I had sepsis! YOW! SO watch those fevers and definitely get it checked out!

Port is fine...thanks for all your concern...
Don't know what the fevers have been, but I'm getting a break right now, and for that I am greatful.

I'm thinking that maybe it's just been the heat! And humidity!
