Hi everyone. I got bitten in Sept. and am currently on Doxycycline for 3.5 months. I already knew that I had Lyme from the bullseye, but my test just came back positive this week.
The thing is... I was doing great and now I am sick as a dog. I am running fever, headache, coughing and my chest hurts. I think I have something, but since I am already on anitibiotics, what is there to do? My Lyme dr. is 2 hours away and I am not sure I want to go to a dr. around here. (the 2 I have gone to, both misdiagnosed me... with the bullseye present)Do I just wait it out, or do you need to be more careful when you have Lyme? I am still new to this.
I am hoping I will be fine, since we caught it early enough.
Any suggestions?
Angel

Just call your LLMD and see what they say? You could have picked up the flu but it could also be a herx.
Are you taking suppliments? Like acidophilis, complex B vitamin, CQ10,?

Could be a herx, but could be the flu also. Then there's no need for different antibiotics. Sometimes you can get bronchitis or something from the flu, and then you might need different abx.
SOOO....call your LLMD and let us know what he says!
