Hi Uma, I have all those symptoms and have tried all the items you mention plus ginkgo biloba, NeuroReplete, Phosphytidal serine, and a few others I've forgotten. The only one that helped was L-carnitine, which improved my energy. I also get a lot of energy help from Alpha-lipoic acid (R-lipoic acid is better if you can afford it). Brain fog-wise,I find the only cure is a good night's sleep. If I can get 7 hrs. or more for 2 nights in a row, my fog improves a lot. I think getting sleep is key to helping with fog. Besides drugs, I use L-tryptophan and Magnesium to help me sleep. I never sleep as well if I don't exercise that day, or if I eat simple sugars that day. Both seem to make it much harder to sleep. Another thing is not to push the neuro-herxing. If I push it, it ruins my sleep, and the fog gets worse. The herxing itself also makes the fog worse. I take an herbal tx, so I can adjust the dose downward whenever the herxing gets counter-productive, and losing sleep is definitely counter-productive! Klutzo

I did the SAM-E about 2 years ago, for my achy joints and depressed mood. On day 3 or so I got real hyper, kind of running off at the mouth, but recognized what it was, and was able to keep it in check. Calmed down to feeling normal again within a day, stayed that way for over 6 months, taking one 400 mg pill a day.
Then I started feeling gradually worse again, tired and achy. I thought I might be relapsing, so I decided to discontinue the SAM-E and see how I felt on nothing. Yup, relapse.
I don't know that it cures symptoms. It may mask them, which may be what you want.
Regards, Shaz
