i cannot function at all, and it has gotten so bad that i discontinued my antibiotics as all the time i couldn't even remember to take them or if i took them, and i was worried what harm it could be doing. i will be talking to my doctor in a few weeks and will see my psychiatrist tommorrow... i need to know what i can ask for for even a palliative help. i have a class starting on friday, i just found out tat i now have cockroaches and now i can't sleep because i can picture them everywhere and i have to meet with my landlord tommorow as the appropriateness of my tenancy needs to be discussed. this is just getting worse and worse.
i do not respond well to stimilants, especially ritalin... they just make me pace, and feel like i am going in all directions and makes the static fuzz in body practically feel like it's going to take over. i used to have some luck with dexedrine, but it was very unreliable, and still just made me feel awful and driven. caffeine is even worse.
i know there is Provigil (modafinil) marketed as "Alertec" in pharmacies in Canada. has anyone had any luck with this? i have heard that some people find it either ineffective, or producing the same nasty stimulant side effects... is there anything else to consider? i even respond negatively to L-Tyrosine.

Before starting antibiotics I relied on Ibuprophen to control inflamation and Effexor to stop what I described as radiating sensations...not quite dizzyness but scary sensations.
The two also helped with confusion. 500 mg doxy helped tremendously with the inflamation and confusion. Seemed the more the better, similar results with ceftin...the more the better.
Sorry to read of your situation. I purchased a daily pocket meds container with AM and PM and divided it up each morning and tried to time the doses around meals which helped with remembering to pull out the pillbox each time I ate. I only lost the pillbox three times and it always turned up!
