Hello all. Finally got my test results. Igenex was 4 bands positive, 3 more undetermined. QRibb was 3.2. Not sure yet what it all mean. Strongly suspected lyme I think? Also mercury came up 8 times max normal on the stool/heavy metal test. May be detoxing unintentionally with chinese herbs. Any help on interpretation would be appreciated! For those who don't know me, I've been diagnosed with ALS for over 4 years now and am still walking with crutches, driving and working full-time!
Thanks, Mark

Hello Mark,

Im glad you got your tests back. it probably will be easier for others to help if you post the specific bands from the Igenex results. With the results next to the band. (+, IND, +/-)

Again Congrats on getting the test results, no hopefully once you start treatment you will improve.

Hi,

I cant help you that much other than to echo the comments of others as to posting which bands were + and -

There are those here with a great deal of experience and can help you, so give them the info they need to do just that, ok.

You need to post the band #s for IgG and IgM. Also, Bowen does not have a 3.2 score that I recall. Do you mean 32?

Welcome Mark; WOW, still working full-time, driving, etc! You are to be commended.

I broke up your long paragraph since majority of us can't read as is. We need shorter paragraphs and double spaced after each one. Please hit enter in the future for us chronic lymies. Thanks. Glad you found us.

There have been many discussions about ALS/lyme, so at your convenience, do a search in the medical area for these 2 topics; should find many posts of interest to you.

Yes, please post the numbers that had positives.
Meanwhile, here are some goodies for newbies ok!

Welcome to this 24/7 LYME support group board!
Here's TREEPATROL's and tincup's combination newbie links.

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/
029917.html

Print off the links then check them off as you read as you could spend
several months reading all of this.

print & read Dr. Barrascono's 2005 info first; you will come back to this often.

Extensive info in Treepatrol's newbie links about the meaning of WESTERN BLOT IGM/IGG test results from Igenex! Be sure to read or print this info IF Igenex tested you ok!

Also, see Cheryl's extensive web sites on: LD DIAGNOSIS, SYMPTOMS, & TREATMENT ... wonderful! Read the area on CO-INFECTIONS! You could have from 1-12 other illnesses that tick is carrying...lyme, malaria, etc.

If you are showing symptoms of co-infections, I would like to suggest being tested for co-infections when you have LYME western blots done. It isn't cheap!! But if you are positive, you can treat the co-infections first, and then work on LYME symptoms.

"If you hit the return key in the middle of a link, I don't think it will be clickable anymore. An alternative that maybe Betty should be telling people about is the tiny url website. I have it on my tool bar at the top of the page and use it for
those incredablylongwebsiteaddresses.

All you have to do is ask tiny url to produce a short version, which it will do with a unique address, which you then use instead in your post. Works just the same when clicked! Here is the website, spread the word!

2-28-06, FYI; I tried putting tinyurl on my toolbar without success but hope again sometime to try this so I can make tinyurl's for my above long addresses!

Ok, thanks for the help! Here goes...Igenex PCR

Whole Blook Multiplex Bb was negative. IGeneX

Igg Western Blot: Positive on bands 18, 41,45,58.

IND on Bands 23-25, 31, 34, and 39. Negative on

the others. Bowen Test QRiBb - Range is from

none found to 1:128. I got a positive result for

Lyme at at 1:32. Negative on Babesia and

Ehrlichia. Oxidative stress panel was 29, very

low, for Glutathione, indicating endo and

exotoxicity and chronic inflammation. Fecal

Metals test was highonly on Mercury, with a

level of 4.074. This is over 8 times the

reference range. Perhaps some of the chinese

herbs I'm taking are detoxing? I'm doing another

metals test in a couple of weeks to verify.

Review my testing page here:

http://www.betterhealthguy.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=54&Itemid=76

These are the Lyme specific bands according to Dr. J.

18 23 30 31 34 37 39 83 93

Thus you show IND on 23-25 31 34 and 39 and positive on 18 41

In my opinion, that is enough to be fairly confident that Lyme is an issue.

Negative on Babs and Ehrlichia from Bowen mean nothing. They were negative for me and I had both. Did you get IGeneX tested for all the coinfections?

My Bowen was 32 as well.

Don't say high "only" on mercury. That's a serious issue that warrants action. Do you still have amalgams?

Be well,
Scott

Scott, yes I still have amalgrams unfortunately. The co-infections tests were by Bowen. Rats!
Gotta get those fillings done, right?
Best, Mark
