Hi,

If you have taken Tetracycline for a number of months, has it increased your bowel movements?

Did you find yourself having more some or most days?

Thanks,

Hey Rob,

I'm not on any abx, but extra bowel movements are very good form of detox. Yah!

Too much diarhea on the other hand would be cause for concern.

Did just the opposite for me. Stopped me up like a cork no matter how many laxatives, magnesium etc I took.

I used to have just one a day...maybe two on a "bigger" day...

but now I find myself going 4-5-6 times a day! And it's usually not diarrhea. I attributed it to the Mg supplement I take, but do you really think it's due to the abx?

If it's helping me detox, I'm glad, but it's kind of a nuisance, and I've often wondered if anyone else was like me.

Good to know I'm not alone! [Smile]

From my experience, Salt/C protocol would solve yor problem.

Hi,

I find myself going 4-5-6 times a day, some days just two or three....

Always a substance to the stool, not watery fluid.....

I was told by a G.I. Dr. that many bowel movements per day is Diarrhea, it does not have to be a liquid form...

I am wondering if a banana or something like that would bind me up!

I also drink lots of water too. I was drinking two glasses a day of distilled water, but now am doing the regular spring water only...

Also, certain foods, spices, caffiene, juices, can also make you go I was told.

To answer the original question, yes, and I can stop it within 24 hours every time by taking probiotics and eliminating sugar. In my case, it's an intestinal yeast overgrowth.

Thanks Dave but I fixed the problem instantly by stopping the tetracycline.
