New to all this-had rash, some joint pain, 21 days of doxy-negative titer-MD wants to retest-(has an open mind...even though there IS no Lyme around here!)
Thinking I should request GOOD tests rather than another basic titer-Willing to pay-How do I refer him to order Igenex (good choice???)and exacrly which tests should I ask for ?
Smart to get results and if positive go to LLMD? Any help appreciated-This site has been very educational (if not scary...) thanks to all of you for sharing your personal experiences!!

you can got to http://www.igenex.com to find info and get phone number to call for the blood kit for lyme. It comes to you via Fedex, no cost until you ship back with blood sample.
When you get kit, have your doctor fill out his portion, (request), then have your blood drawn. It is mailing ready for Fedex. You have to put check in with sample for amount of tests.
Igenex sends you a receipt for you to self-submit to insurance.
My LLMD had me get the Lyme Westertn Blot IgG and Lyme Western Blot IgM. Each cost $95.00 so I sent $190.00 with my sample.
My doctor didn't use Igenex for co-infection tests. He used MDLab since they take insurance.
Good luck.

which says that lyme is a clinical diagnosis! Forget about tests right now- trust your instinct-and get the best treatment right away! No time to waste! ( you can always do tests later- Igenex seems to be the one with the best reviews here)
Also bring with you Dr Burrascano's treatment guidelines ( which can be found on the newbie links)
There is another excellent site, www.canlyme.com Print out the list of board of directors, which includes some heavy weight Dr's- and other treatment guidelines from the site. Show him the ilads site...
