Hi Everyone!!!

I have missed you all!

Been a very trying rime for us with my daughter Mikayla being diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes on top of lyme- she is going into Children's Hospital on Tuesday and will be there 3 -5 days to hopefully get her blood sugar under control...

Good news is Dr.Jones said he thinks she is Lyme Free and so far -she is doing great with no more lyme symptoms...yay

Derek my son who also has lyme is doing so much better- was even able to participate in baseball this year and was his teams Home Run King!!! woo hooo- still has some joint pain but that is all- yay

I am still off all meds but i was bit by a tick in May and ended up ill shortly after- my ankles are swollen and we can't figure out the cause- not sure if lyme related but i am hoping to see my llmd in october- i did take 6 weeks antibiotics right after the bite - so not sure

So how is everyone here- i have missed you all

Mikayla is New Hampshire's Juvenile Diabetes Youth Ambassador so we are extremely busy meeting with politicians and anyone who will listen to her speak about living with diabetes and the need to find a cure...

I'm real proud of her- lol as you can tell...

Hope all is well with all of you!!! so many new names!!! But so happy to see my old friends

Hugs!

Lymebrat ~ Missy

That's awesome!!!! I've been wondering how you and your kids have been!!

Congratulations to them for their accomplishments!!
 -

I'm sorry you got bit again. I think swelling is sometimes associated with Lyme.

Tell the kids HI for me!!

 -

Don't remain a stranger, OK? And let us know how Mikayla is next week!!

Missy, what great news about your kids accomplishments!

Mikayla's NH JD spokesperson; wonderful; I remember last year she/you were meeting with many politicians then! Way to go girl.

M, I hope the MDs can get your JD until control for good. I know you've been in/out of hospitals & ER rooms since the beginning.

M, I think of you every time my monthly diabetes magazine comes, and they have the kid's corner of stories!

Derek; home run king! I remember those days well from my softball days. Any grand slams Derek?

Missy, sorry to read you were bite again! I've missed you & wandering about the kids/you all.

Take care & come back when you can. Give the kids an extra hug/kiss from us all ok!
Bettyg [group hug] [kiss]

Hi Missy,
What a wonderful surprise to see your update on you & the children.
You sure have been missed a lot!!

Tell Derek - every time I hear the bugle at Fort Jackson here in Columbia, I think about all of you & how special you are.

Home Run King - WOW!!!
Such an accomplishment, but even more so that he did this with Lyme disease.
What age group is Derek in now?
Time flies so, I can't keep up.

I do well to remember the ages of my 8 grandchildren. It's the 14 yr old who has LD & goes to Dr J in CT. This grandson is able to play sports, too.

So proud of Mikayla being a spokesperson for Juvenile Diabetes. She's such a cutie. No one could ignore what she has to say.
Please give us an update at the end of the week to let us know how she's doing.

Take care of you!!
Lots of love from South Carolina!!

Hi Missy,

Wow, it has been a while. [Wink] So sorry you got bit again and Mikayla has Juvenile Diabetes, but I'm glad that atleast she is lyme-free.

It's very nice that Derek is playing baseball and feeling better.

I have missed you and everyone from Lymenet too. [Smile]

Hugsss,
Beverly
