After 6 months of zith and mepron, then biaxin, then ketek, then bicillin for 11 months, zith 4 more months and mepron again for 2 months the tide is turing and I'm getting better. Really better.
My immune system is fighting back finally. I'm not done yet but I am working 3 days a week and teaching pilates class twice a week.
Two years ago I thought I'd probably die soon. I'm not 100% but I can live like this.
I used to have no brain left and was bedridden for half days, almost all day for days on end. Two bad weeks out of four.
I think it was mostly Babesia and neurological lyme.
It happened really fast. Like in a few weeks the tide just turned and I felt the difference.

Oh, YIPPEE!!!
My WA-1 buddy Surg!~
I am so happy to hear this.
Sounds like it hasn't been an easy road for you, but you've really hung in there.
Makes me realize my pathetic little two-month attack on babesia was perhaps just a skirmish, and no wonder I'm back at square one.
But your post gives me great hopes for diving in again!
Please keep us posted and don't go away, 'kay?

Horray Surg!
I'm so happy for you.
It's really good to hear of it actually happening. (especially 3 months into Babs treatment for the first time.)
Thank you for sharing this and the hope connected with it.
Yay, for turning tides!

That's awesome!! Don't forget to come back when you're well and add your story to the Success Stories link!!!
Babs holds a lot of people back. That's why it's so important to treat it also, no matter what the test says.
