Hi Polar Blast- YES... I just did a post about this the other day.. I twitch all the time and the ones down by my lower back/spine/butt feel almost like mini electric shocks? I finally posted to see if there was any actual "harm" in this since it is going on for so long. It's bizarre, isn't it? Natalie

Muscle twitches all over, started in my eye and spread. they are not like electrical shocks...I can actually see alot of my muscle twitches. Been going on since I became ill 18 months ago. there is some condition..benign fasciculation something or other. I say BS, as I had too many other sx with the twitches and they seem to get worse as my condition worsens...someone mentioned that lyme eats up our magnesium...which I think could attribute to the twitches but who knows...all my docs (not llmd) just scratch their heads. Also had vibration like sensations or creepy crawlies in the back of my head...different than the twitches...

count me in here please.
twitching has been something that has alerted me to both of my relapses and it seems pretty constant for me throughout illness in SPITE of taking lots of mag and soaking in epsom salts at least once a day.
I have had a few occassions of twitching more recently that woke me up and would NOT stop---in my thigh/hip area. You can feel and see the twitches if they last long enough. they look like nothing but feel like lots more. there are different types that I feel and some are not shock like but others ARE shock like.
I recently started taking prometrium (micronized bio-identical progesterone) in hopes of balancing some upposed estrogen. It was right after this that I started having even MORE twitching. The reason I bring this up is that progesterone CAN help your body use magnesium better. So perhaps all that extra mag I was taking and soaking in couldnt be used by my body without the proper balance of hormones.
It is a hypothesis right now---will take a few months to really tell if this will help me.
I have taken many many mag tab SR's (the type dr B says is best)for months on end without any relief from twitching. but some do get relief this way. My LLMD is leary of prescribing Mag injections. but some LLMDs do this.
like yer name polar blast---hope this season the places that need the blasting get it. it is much too warm these days!
