I know the importance of keeping the picc line insertion point and surrounding area clean and dry. However, what if I get sweaty - I walk sometimes and work up a sweat but there is a clear bandage around the insertion site which isn't supposed to come off except once a week while changing dressing. If my arm sweats then sweat most certainly gets under the bandage. Is it OK to sweat or is it dangerous?

Hi Nicolette. As long as the sweating is not excessive, I think it should be fine. You may want to call your nurse or doctor to ask.
