My vision is decreasing terrible and the doctors can't find out what is wrong with me. I have seen several specialists and they are at a complete loss. I am on Doxy 100 mg BID. Doea anybody have any suggestions? Herbals? They are unable to correct me past 20/30 in both eyes. Thanks

Don't know if this will help you, but my eye symptoms(difficulty looking at light, eye pain, difficulty focusing) are prevented by drinking Ultra mangosteen juice.
I noticed improvewment immediately, within the first hour of drinking it. It's an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant fruit juice.
I drink several ounces a day, with water. It's in healthfood stores and online.

IMO...try selenium 100mcg if possible 2x/day, vitamin E - the compete NATURAL kind...Gamma E by Jarrow Formulas is one, Leutin (with zeaxanthin) by Carlson's is good, Lemongrass (the real stuff...cut up in a salad - use a scissors - it looks like grass).
I normally might suggest vitamin A, but due to recent research, I SUSPECT this might already be over produced...retinoic acid.
Worse case scenario...cortisone shots IN YOUR EYES WILL STOP THE DAMAGE and WILL PREVENT PERMANT DAMAGE AND BLINDNESS.
I know because my sister HAD to resort to this. She had "uveitis" and at one point could only see the big "E" on the chart. She went to a uveitis specialist at a MAJOR University in a MAJOR city...and had tried everything else prior.
This is the ONE time, I will EVER say...you MIGHT need to resort to LOCAL steroid use to reduce the inflammation.
Wishing you health and recovery. Get to a specialist.

I have visual stuff going on.. much like my name implies.
I have noticed that there has been some little improvement with abx. Not much so far, but I'm only on month 2.5 of doxy.
Much like you, I saw several opthamologist, all of whom said my eyes are fine. But I can't see my monitor, my eye lids are so puffy it looks like my eyes are shut in every photo, and I have crazy after images and terrible floaters. Something is wrong!
Lyme does strange stuff to your vision. Keep up with the treatment.. and try some of the herbals that other say seem to work for them.

I had terrible vision/ocular problems before diagnosis w/LD. Most of the problems cleared up after about 9 mos of abx (Bicillin LA injections weekly + Ketek).
the conjuctivitis problem (i hadn't been able to wear my contacts for more than 2 days) until the last month...15months on abx.
