I was just talking to Dr. Singleton (I have his permission to post his name on this board)about his new book "Lyme Disease Solutions". It sounds wonderful. He describes symptoms, solutions (both antibiotics and immune system enhancers and has quite a bit about nutrition and diet.
His book will be out in April. Look for it on Amazon!
I'll post more information as it becomes available
My daughter and I are feeling much better, lyme wise. Unfortunately, my daughter had to have emergency surgery for a perforated bowel (long sad story about the medical profession in our new town missing obvious symptoms) but she is recovering fairly well.

Yes, Dr. Singleton is an ILADS member. He has a wonderful reputation. He's very careful not to overdo the antibiotics and to supplement with vitamins, etc.
My daughter is much better. She will be having her colostomy reversed in March! Yeeha!
Turns out the antibiotics she was on, Merrem and Zyvox (both restricted to infectious disease doctors because they are the last line of defense in severe antibiotic resistant infections, Zyvox alone is $75.00 per pill) must have knocked the heck out of her lyme. All the symptoms are gone! Doctor will keep her on maintenance for next six months and then see how she does without.
As a side note, she was so sick with perontinitis that she was not expected to live. To her, her lyme symptoms pale in comparison. But the brain fog and joint pain is gone!

Please don't misunderstand me. I am absolutely not recommending that Merrem and Zyvox be used for lyme.
My daughter had an ESBL e-coli infection responsive ONLY to Merrem and a vancomycin resistant enteroccocus (VRE) suseptible only to Cubicin and Zyvox. She had severe myalgia from the Cubicin and had to be switched to Zyvox.
If these drugs were used in the general population, odds are her infections would have been resistant due to over use. I'm extremely glad they are very resitricted to use!
