I was just wondering who else if anyone developed food allergies with thier lyme and co-infections, i had a allergy test done and i am allergic to almost everything besides venison , beef, and fruits and vegtables.
And i also have lots of chemical sensitivities. Anyone else with this problem, i have lyme and three co-infections and am finding that allergies are getting worse after year and a half of antibiotic treatment.

Wow!
I guess you are eating very healthy these days!
I recently have cut wheat, milk, and chocolate out of my diet because I was reacting to them.
I didn't have these before, either.
I also have some chemical sensitivites but not too dramatic.
How are you doing with the eating? Are you getting used to it? That's a huge adjustment.

I can not eat gluten and if I eat sugar it makes me feel sick.
I have never tested positive for gluten intolerance but you can be intolerant and not test positive. I guess gluten testing is just as lame as LD testing.
My LLMD says LD patients should not eat sugar because it makes the dang Lyme bugs grow.

I haven't just developed a ton of food allergies... I'm now allergic to the adhesive found on most bandages (kind of hard when there's a PICC line involved), my coveted down comforter (and all things with fur or feathers -thank goodness my furry baby is hypoallergenic and doesn't shed), and many other things that I come in contact with almost regularly, including the shower gel I was using up until last week...
-------------------- Sometimes when I say Oh, Im fine I want someone to look me in the eyes & say tell the truth
mention you have lyme and marshall protocol, they will give you 20% off! I'm NOT on MProtocol, but mention it anyway. I was on their new board almost 12 months!
Also they have been kind enough to replace the SCRATCHED LENSES & BROKEN BOWS! How's that for service?
I don't drive often at night, but I can wear NOIR's 901 lenses at night while driving; it creates soft candle lights coming at me...tolerable. NOT to wear in town with all the action of people crossing where they shouldn't be, etc.
Driving daylight hours, be sure to wear DRIVING GLOVES and a LONG SLEEVE SHIRT/JACKET so you will NOT SUNBURN ! I got burnt bad on my 1st out of state trip to new LLMD in Minn.
I wear my darkest tinted RX sunglasses always with my NOIR wraparounds over them, and my floppy straw hat too; shields my face/side views
NOTE: Wearing sunglasses that BLOCK ULTRA VIOLET LIGHT, help to prevent CATARACTS.

OH, boy. YES!!! I have very few foods I am able
to eat. My allergies go up and down as my
symptoms do. Before my second cavitation
surgery I couldn't eat anything without loosing
my drive to breath.
Presently, I am back to being unable to eat any
grain or rice. I am able to eat root vegetables
some greens and organic meat.
My MCS are pretty severe. Recently, I have
chosen not to go to anyone else's house. The
chemicals!!
Last week I took my husband's lunch to him at the
hospital that he works at. I could not tolerate
the fumes of the chemicals in the hallways. The
chemicals they use for cleaning are too much for
me. Can you imagine what it does for chemo patients?
I saw on TV a few months ago that there is a talk
show hosts wife promoting organic cleaner for pediatric hospitals. I hope it happens.

I have food allergies. However, I do not believe Lyme is the cause. I believe yeast is.
If you have ever taken abx and not followed up with PLENTY probiotics, you have yeast.
Yeast will damage the intestinal lining causing particially digested foods, parasites, bacteria and yeast itself to escape into the body. These things were never meant to leave the gut.
This condition is called Leaky Gut Syndrome (LGS) and it can cause plenty of illness on its own.
Many times symptoms we attribute to lyme is actually caused by yeast. Abx are the number 1 cause of yeast overgrowth in your gut. So, if you are aggressively treating the symptoms with abx, when the cause is really yeast, you are throwing gas on the fire.
Get checked for LGS and systemic yeast. Treating this may eliminate many of your symptoms.
It sure worked for me.

I developed sensitivities to gluten, corn, oats, rye, dairy, sugar (including fruit), refined carbs, and caffeine, one by one, slowly over time.
I'm sure I had LGS, but wonder if LD microbes were not responsible, rather than yeast? Or perhaps a combination, in my case? I just know that my tolerance for foods lately has increased with more specific LD remedies, rather than fungal remedies.
I can now tolerate a certain amout of fruit, corn tortillas, even very small amounts of ghee (clarified butter) cooked into meals. But still, no gluten, dairy, refined carbs, or sugar products .

An emphatic, "YES", even though I just Fedexed my test kit to Igenix a few minutes ago. I'm still guessing that chronic Lyme is the culprit.
After fasting in the hospital for about three days (for pancreatitis due to gallstones due to Lyme?), my arthritic symptoms improved substantially. Resuming my normal diet, the symptoms returned immediately. The worst knee/back pain was improved somewhat when I recently stopped dairy.
Haven't been tested for allergies but seems to be a necessary step now.
Before the Lyme symptoms, had absolutely no allergies.
BTW, the bacteria really hated the steroid shots in the spine as others have also found.
