Good idea to have a separate thread, Tincup!!
Latest news at 5:22-
So far, the bill has NOT been put on the Senate agenda. That is GOOD news.
The bill still needs a hearing before the Senate if is going to be voted on by the full Senate.
IF the Senate committee we've all been contacting had taken a vote on the bill, the bill would be on the Senate agenda. So, the committee has NOT voted on the bill yet.
The Senate has already taken two "breaks" today, will take one for dinner for sure, and likely 2-3 more before the session ends at midnight. Nobody is doing anything during the breaks, and the system isn't spitting out bills in the works.

Today's Annapolis newspaper, THE CAPITAL, has not mentioned the lyme bill anywhere in the paper. The word "tick" appears nowhere.
However, there was an article about spraying for gypsy moths in an effort to save destruction of the trees.
I have been listening to the Senate proceedings, and they just adjourned until 8:30. There are several committees meeting during the break to discuss upcoming bills and the Lyme Bill was not mentioned.
SOOOOOOOOO...............
The Senate does sound like it is moving at a rather quick pace in an effort to get as much done as possible before midnight. Hopefully they will get bogged down during the last hours and the Lyme Bill will be killed.

Has anyone talked to the relevant senator aides since the break in the proceedings that was to have taken place at seven?
I think we should keep a close eye on things until the session closes at midnight and be ready to respond quickly if anything develops.
My understanding is that some of the aides will be in and out of their office tonight. You may still reach some of them live if you call before the session ends. Even messages that are left tonight may still reach the senate floor via the aides, so don't hesitate to make those calls.

latest update-
bill is in committee.
the committee is still working on business- they've reported out 2 more bills for votes. not ours.
according to the pros: odds are definitely getting slimmer and slimmer.

Thanks Dilly and Fight.
MANY folks are working hard on it. Team work.
There are a few in the back ground who have done way more than they should have... and without them... I'd be fishing right now... and to heck with it.
