SORRY THIS IS SO WORDY AND I HOPE TO HEAR FROM SOME ONE. MY OBJECTIVE IS TO GET THIS OFF THE MARKET A.S.A.P. STAT JUST THINK HOW MANY FAMILIES LOST LOVED ONE TO SUICIDE AND IT WAS COMPLETELY DRUG INDUCED. AND DID THEY EVER KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED... I WAS VERY CLOSE TO BECOMING A STATISTIC. INSTEAD A RAVING LUNATIC AND FEELING MUCH BETTER. EXCEPT MY DAUGHTER WILL NOT TALK TO ME. WILL SHE EVER KNOW THAT SHE TOO IS NOW A STATISTIC AS WELL?
How and whom can I talk to about this INANE
DRUG... It has the Black Box WARNING... I
was given this particular med. for bi-
polar/depression/insomnia... The first week was
remarkable, I loved the relief ect... THEN A
STEALTH BEAST MOVED INTO MY HEAD! UNKNOWINGLY I
DID NOT SEE THE PATTERNS OF MY THINKING THAT
CAME OUT OF MY MOUTH. I REALLY THOUGHT I WAS
OK... (((((NOW THE REST OF THE
STORY))))) I was taking 200mg. at bedtime works
great for insomnia, although that window to get
in bed for sleep is 30 min. so if I didn't get
to bed the reg. insomnia takes over once again.
I started Seroquel May 28 07. I live in
Arkansas, my daughter (in Ca.) first baby was
due July 22, and in June she was have pre-term
labor in and out of the hospital. The plans were
for me to go out and help her "because her
husband was and still is a Marine in Iraq. She
was concerned that I might wait to long and not
help her before durring and after. I was
planning to go early to mid July. I left June
23rd I came home Aug 16. Yes that is a very long
time for things to go VERY VERY BAD and IT DID.
she developed PUPPS which simply means she had
become allergic to her unborn sons
Testosterone!!! Ya WHAT HUH. Her very bulging
belly was inflamed with multiple and looking
lilke ONE giant welt and the itching drove her
crazy. At the same time she was calling me a
Crazy Insane B. It just seamed that I even made
the whole situation worse. Then she reached her
due date and in labor not effectively. She had
been have tremendous pain on her left side. Dr.s
told her that is was her Uterus stretching.
(WRONG) she was in the worst pain back to the
hospital I mentioned to the Dr. and VERY AGAINST
what she wanted me to do and that was to SHUTUP.
C-Scan showed the baby was laying on the tube
leaving the L. Kidney and Her KIDNEY WAS VERY
SWOLLEN. BY now she was past her due date. They
did not induce her. AAARGGGGGGGGG. She was just
plain worn out. Then there was me ALL WACKED ON
SEROQUEL AND STILL NOT SEEING WHAT EVERYONE ELSE
SAW. EXCEPT FOR ONE VERY CLEAR THING TO ME AND
THAT WAS SUICIDE... OVER AND OVER AND OVER. HERE
IS THE BREAKING POINT FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTER.
SHE HEARD ME TALKING ON THE PHONE TO MY DR. BACK
HOME ABOUT SUICIDE...THEN HER WALL CAME UP. I
CAN'T BLAME HER I WAS PROBABLY A REAL THREAT. OH
AND ALSO SHE HAD 3 EPIDERALS AND NOT ONE OF THEM
TOOK. SHE WAS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR PREPAIRED FOR
IT. AND THEN SHE WENT FROM A 3 TO A FULL PHASED
IN ABOUT 15MIN. AND PUSHED FOR ONLY 30MIN AND
BABY WAS BORN. SHE SAID THAT THE MIN HE WAS BORN
HER KIDNEY STOPPED HURTING. I STAYED OVERNIGHT
WITH HER 2 NIGHTS LIKE THE HUSBAND WOULD DO.
ANYWAY BABY WAS HOME I WAS SCARRING THEM SO SHE
CALLED 911 STATING I WAS TRYING TO COMMIT
SUICIDE. SO WHEN THE POLICE ARRIVED THEY COULD
CLEARLY SEE THAT MY MEDS WERE IN ORDER AND
NOTHING WAS MISSING OR EMPTY. THEY DIDN'T EVEN
PUT IT ON MY RECORD. THAT WAS AUG. 14, I GOT UP
THE NEXT DAY AND MY EX MOTHER IN LAW WAS THERE
AND I WAS TOLD I HAD TO LEAVE SO I PACKED WHAT I
COULD AND HEADED TO A HOTEL. MY EX HUSBAND AND
MY SON GOT ME SETTLED INTO A ROOM. I MADE
RESERVATIONS WHILE AT THE HOTEL AND I CAUGHT A
PLANE THE NEXT DAY. I HAD ACCUMILATED A FEW
THINGS LIKE MANY MANY COPIES OF PHOTOS I HAD
TAKEN THERE WERE ABOUT 150 BUT REMEMBER I HAD 5-
6 COPIES FOR THE REST OF MY FAMILY. wHEN I LEFT
I HAD A BOX PACKED AND ALSO THE PHOTOS WERE IN
THE BOX THEY WERE JUST TO HEAVY FOR ME. I
FINALLY RECEIVED THE BOX SEPT. 12TH A LOT OF
THINGS WERE MISSING SO WERE THE PHOTOS. MY
DAUGHTER HAD ACCESS TO THE BOX FOR OVER 3 WEEKS.
AND I HAVE STILL NOT BEEN ABLE TO TALK TO HER
AND WE ALWAYS TALKED AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. I HAD
A PKG TO MAIL TO IRAQ TO HER HUSBAND SHE TOLD
HER DAD TO TELL ME THAT HER HUSBAND WANTED
NOTHING FROM ME BECAUSE OF WHAT I DID TO HER. I
STOPPED TAKING SEROQUEL TEN DAYS AFTER I GOT
THERE BECAUSE MY LIPS AND MOUTH WERE BURNING TO
THE POINT I COULD NOT EVEN DRINK WATER. SO I
LOOKED UP THE SIDE EFFECTS AND THERE WERE 1,113
SIDE EFFECTS SO I PRINTED IT AND THERE WERE 9
PGS. ALONG WITH 79 SUICIDES AND EVEN 2 DIFFERENT
PEOPLE COMMITTED MURDER. THIS IS WHEN THEY ALL
BECAME VERY AWARE I WAS PROBABLY CAPEABLE OF
DOING HARM TO SOME ONE. AND NOW THEY STILL THINK
AND BELIEVE I AM STILL IN THAT FRAME OF MIND. SO
NEEDLESS TO SAY NO ONE KNOWS WHEN AND NOW WITH
THE WAR AND THE WAR OF LYME I WONDER IF I WILL
EVER BE ABLE TO HAVE THEM LISTEN AND HEAR ME.
ONE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS FROM SEROQUEL IS A
CHEMICAL LIKE BURN OF THE LIPS AND MOUTH AND
EVEN 3 WEEKS AFTER I STOPPED TAKING IT THEY
STILL KEPT BURNING. SO MY MESG. IS CLEAR. PASS
THIS INFO AND PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME FOR I HAVE
LOST ALL REPECT FROM MY CHILDREN AND EVEN A FEW
FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS... ONLY NOT FROM LYME
BUT BECAUSE OF LYME I WAS PERSCRIBED THIS
HORRIFIING MED. HOW DOES ONE COME BACK FROM THIS.

I've read about some of the horrible reactions to psychotropic drugs, but never heard a first person experience. I'm am very sorry that you had to go through that hell. I hope you find someone to talk with who can help you deal with the pain. And consider talking to a lawyer, to see if there is any recourse to compensation.

i can not read your post because it is too long, but my very good freind lost her son while he was on seroquel. He OD'd on oxycontin, just when they thought he was finally starting to turn a corner. That drug is scary, but the disease of bi-polar is also so difficult.
My best to you for healing and repairs in all the ways you need them. trails

My daughter took it for a year for insomnia. She weaned off of it because we felt it contributed to her weight gain.
It was a VERY difficult weaning process. She transferred to Geodon, which has been great.
She really needed two different kinds of anti-depressants to balance her. She takes Wellbutrin in the morning.
So sorry you went through this. You should definitely contact some people (I can't even think who, my brain is fried) and let them know what you went through.
Everyone has different reactions with all those drugs. I remember starting Celexa, then Paxil, then got really depressed was put on Prozac, that's when I was suicidal.
Wellbutrin saved me.
It's a very personal experience, and doctors should monitor their patients VERY closely. When they work, they are wonderful; when they don't the consequences are HUGE.

I want to thank each one of you because you took the time when you heard my cry. Your posts have helped see a lot more options than I had before. And to Trails give my regards and best to your friend whos sons life ended because OF SEROQUEL. Thank you all Annie
