Here is a little history about me -

bit by a tick in 2001 - had a bullseye rash near bite site. A week or two afterwards I had a upper resp. infection, then a sinus infection. Dr. gave me 100 mg. Doxy for 10 days and said he didn't believe it was Lyme because it is not common in our area. Since then I have had the following.

Swelling in both Knees, one elbow, and ankles

Increased floaters in the my eyes, eye pain (from the inside out) eye pressure

Fatuge, mental confusion, exhaustion, not enough sleep on some days and too much sleep on the others. I mix up words, can't follow conversations, can't remember where I was going when I get in my car , slurred speech, back pain, chest pains, neck stiffness, neck popping, etc. I can go on and on

Also, I had a heart attack last Nov. 11,2006 - I had 100% blockage in my right corn. artery, and 30% blockage in my left at the age of 38 years old. Cornary problems do not run in my family.

I have ask the drs here several times could my symptoms be from lyme since I had the bullseye rash and was told it is not common in our area.

I have been tested for Rhum Arth., and was told that wasn't it. So, go figure.

If I sound rude or crabby, I will tell you sorry in advance, because I really don't mean to. Also having major mood swings.

So all you've had is 10 days of abx? ALL DOCTORS {ducks} say that Lyme is not common.

WRONG!!

Check into high quality mangosteen for the inflammation problem. Your heart will thank you!

Hi,

I'm in Florida and part of the "not common in Florida" crowd. I was infected in early June and got a diagnosis in October, I had to leave the state to get it as the 15 doctors here as well as 2 hospital visits and I got was "you are very sick...could be this...could be that..."

Anyway, my first symptoms were itching, sinus/flu and knee pain.

The first set of bloodwook showed very high CRP (c-reactive protein) AND SED.

I wish I could tell you about some great MDs here but I have not found any!

My CRP was elevated, as well.

Betty...is CD57 and the CRP related?

I don't think so!! CD57 is a measurement of your immune system, isn't it?
